Chanel, Nicole Kidman

This print ad is the illustration of the televison ad of the perfume. It is organized as an ad for cinema: her name on the top, the title, the actress,…

It is a remake of the famous movie “Moulin Rouge” in which Nicole Kidman was the main actress. We can see that this print ad is like a cine ad. Chanel has realised a huge advertising campaign around the product, the TV ad was absolutly wonderful, during about 2 minutes with special effects. So this print ad is the complement.

Chanel is always making beautiful ads with the most famous people: Kate Moss, Keira Knightley and here with Nicole Kidman.

Their will is to create special atmospheres for each product: here it is dramatical when we know the end of the movie. It is about an impossible love… so this ad is really well made because we can feel something just by looking it.

Mango, Cruz’s sisters

Here is a beautiful illustration of a good marketing campaign. Mango is using the familial link between the two women. Both are wonderful, spanish, famous… But at different livels. Penelope is a famous wild actress whereas Monica is known thanks to a sitcom “Un, dos, tres…” a famous spanish television serie.

Mango is showing the sisters, who look like the same. But they don’t have the same style. It is important to make the difference.

Moreover, Mango is a spanish brand so they use spanish models ! It is a good deal.  Famous spanish women wearing clothes from a famous spanish brand. Everything is perfect !

Lancia, Carla Bruni

For their last campaign, Lancia had chosen a famous french woman: Carla Bruni. It is amazing to see her in an ad. But, consumers have to remember that before being the first french lady, she was a top model and a singer. So the concept is not so crazy. We have to make the difference between the two women: the top and “the woman of”. With Carla Bruni, Lancia is going to get a new image: the french class !
